A simple solution to our "carbon problem"
I suppose a small minority is going to really dislike this one
So, if the richest one percent of us are emitting more than twice as much "carbon"1 as the poorer half of us, and assuming "carbon" really is the most pressing issue of our days — worth sacrificing wealth, health, lives and future prospects of billions of people for — well, I have got a solution for you.
It's simple. It's doable. It would produce immediate results, and affect only very few:
Those in the top 1% who push "carbon" alarmism move to a "camp".
No need to murder the poor sods. May they enjoy their early retirement in a tropical paradise where they consume not much more than food and drinks. Quality medical care will be provided, provided it has a modest "carbon" footprint. They could spend their time singing and dancing, and be more alive and fulfilled than they ever would if left to their own devices, perhaps even surfing. That is, if they manage to produce surfboards without any resource-intensive tools. Their confiscated2 wealth might be invested in reforestation projects, battery technology and regenerative agriculture or some such thing.
This alone will do more to cut CO2 emissions, overnight, than the flawless, and very expensive, execution of "green" strategies would in decades (or more): a whopping 10 to 15% reduction in global CO2 emissions, assuming that at least two thirds of the top 1% are aligned with "carbon" alarmism3.
It's definitely more ethical than brutal economical warfare waged against the bottom half of humanity, in the name of "climate justice", condemning countless households accounting for more than half of all children to misery and/or starvation.
But it still wouldn't be right, would it?
They really mean CO2, but that would appear to be too technical for the general public.
Stolen, really, because it is theft whether you like the victim or not.
I don't think that is too much of a stretch.

Maybe s kind of "fat camp"?
